Here rests what once was
The light is gone to past
Tormented in the dark
The end is reached at last
A decision by her own hand
Never once at peace
A life consumed by sorrow
Now forever deceased
The light twists into darkness; I wish to take it back
By the piercing of the razors; Now bathing in eternal black
Drying on the floor, and staining to the soul
Haunting to the senses; Horrific acts one can't control
I weep for what took place; I cry before the dawn
Crack the skies now open; To dwell upon the dying sun
I've failed you, my dear friend; A help I couldn't be
No longer shall the pain persist; Clearer than I'll ever see
Part II: The Ghostly Void
My naked soul, breathless and bare
Stripped to the very bone
This anguish; This loathing
Much greater than ever known
Who are you? I know not your name.
Your face a stranger to mine
What once was there is history
Extinguished as light to thine
Wailing from the rooftops; Oh Lord, please hear my prayer!
Rid me of this curse; Deprive me of despair
Remove all hints of pain; These years I must ignore
Snuff the light from my mind; Delete me at the rotting core
I stare into the mirror; A ghostly void I see
No image looking back now; What once was now can never be
Away from life I cry; The abyss is my domain
Forget me and forgive me; In blood I sign my name
Part III: The Deepest Depths
Pain embrace the lonely ones who shutter in the night
Those that wander far from here, escaping from all sight
To the dust returned at once (at last), as the night approaches ever fast
Life has come now to an end, in the deepest depths from here descend
If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse
As a fan of Funeral Doom, which isn't a common genre to find, this album is very highly recommended by me. If you are a fan of Esoteric or other more progressive Funeral Doom bands, you will appreciate this offering. malelude
A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken
